Addiction is not limited to substances. Gambling disorder and gaming disorder are now recognized diagnoses, and compulsive buying, work addiction and problematic smartphone use are under active study. This session explores the neuroscience, prevention and treatment of behavioral addictions, and the role of lived experience in prevention.
Topics include: gambling disorder, gaming disorder and neuroimaging, compulsive buying, work addiction, digital detox interventions, online sports betting, prevention through lived experience.
